Nauru minister calls for harmony between locals and offshore community
The minister has spoken to the leader of the Nauru Government on the issue of the Manus Island offshore detention centre.
Tony Burke said Mr A바카라사이트bedi’s brother Michael had spoken to him recently.
“He was asked if they [the Nauru Government] feel the community in Nauru is still united and ready to accept what’s happening here in the community and that a safe environment will be afforded.”
Mr Burke said the “very real concerns of the community that have arisen after the recent terror attack at a concert”.
“So the family members here in this room are anxious about our security in this community.”
Mr Burke said he apronxcould not speak t바카라o specific details of the concerns Mr Abedi had raised about the detention centre but the Minister would meet with the Nauru Government on Monday to discuss options to move closer to the centre.
